Description:

​Akamai is hiring a Software Engineer to join its Data Experience Team, working remotely from India. This team develops highly scalable, cloud-native managed services built on top of Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode). In this role, you will work within an agile cross-functional scrum team to build and operate Akamai's next-generation Cloud Observability stack. Your work will directly impact how internal and external customers track system telemetry, manage application logs, and analyze cloud metrics. Responsibilities cover all stages of the software development lifecycle, from writing clean code in object-oriented languages to configuring automated CI/CD pipelines.

​Requirements:

• ​Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• ​1 to 2 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within a cloud or infrastructure-focused ecosystem.
• ​Hands-on experience developing software using object-oriented languages, with an explicit focus on Go (Golang) or Python.
• ​A solid conceptual grasp of standard internet and network protocols, including TCP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP.
• ​Proactive contribution to all stages of the software engineering lifecycle, including building, maintaining, and shipping code through automated CI/CD testing pipelines.
• ​Strong attention to detail, exceptional root-cause troubleshooting mechanics, and the ability to articulate technical data patterns clearly to stakeholders.
• ​Prior exposure to architectural microservices, Kubernetes container orchestration systems, or experience working with third-party hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
